Maddison Webb

Math and ACT Prep Teacher

Maddison Webb has been part of education for nine years, including the past seven years at Sperry Public Schools. She teaches Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Applied Mathematics and also serves as a softball and basketball coach. Ms. Webb earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering and her Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Pittsburg State University. Before joining Sperry Public Schools, she taught College Algebra at Pittsburg State University for two years.

What she enjoys most about teaching is the relationships she builds with her students and getting to watch them grow into more confident versions of themselves. Ms. Webb wants her students to understand that effort matters. She does not expect perfection, but she does expect students to try, participate, and keep going when things become difficult. She hopes her students learn that making mistakes is an important part of the learning process.

One unique aspect of Ms. Webb’s classroom is her use of traditional paper-and-pencil work rather than relying on Chromebooks. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She especially appreciates the family atmosphere at Sperry Public Schools, where she says there is tremendous support and people genuinely look out for one another.
