Mike Orcutt

Mike Orcutt has been part of education for 12 years, all of which have been at Sperry Public Schools. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Oklahoma State University. Mike Orcutt questionnaire
What Mr. Orcutt enjoys most about teaching is the relationships he builds with students both in the classroom and on the sports field. He wants his students to know that he genuinely cares about each and every one of them. As he puts it, students become “our kids,” and he believes in supporting them and looking out for them throughout their time at school.
Mr. Orcutt hopes his students take away something valuable from his classes that they can carry with them throughout their lives. He places a strong emphasis on being kind and respectful toward others and hopes those values are reflected in the lessons his students take from his classroom.
Outside of school, Mr. Orcutt enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. One of his favorite things about Sperry Public Schools is the strong connection between the school and community. He especially appreciates that many teachers are Sperry graduates who love their school and have been inspired to return and give back by teaching and coaching alongside the people who helped shape them.
