Sperry Public School is accepting applications for the following positions:

 

Certified Positions:

 

Secondary English Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate and be certified and highly qualified in English/language arts.  Duties may include both middle school and high school levels.  Experience in teaching advanced placement English preferred.

 

Secondary Math Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate and be certified and highly qualified in mathematics.  Preference will be given to candidates certified in both Intermediate Mathematics and Advanced/Secondary Mathematics.

 

Social Studies Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate and be certified and highly qualified in at least one area of social studies. Preference will be given to applicants with certification in World History and American History. 

 

Special Education Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma special education teaching certificate in Mild-Moderate and be highly qualified in elementary education, English, and/or mid-level mathematics.  Preference will be given to candidates certified in multiple categories.

 

Vocational Agriculture Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate in Vocational Agriculture. Duties to include instruction of Ag mechanics, horticulture and Ag sciences; sponsoring of judging teams, district shooting team, leadership activities, and career pathways programs; and coordinating/directing district annual livestock show. Transporting students and livestock to and from area/state livestock shows and other activities is required.

 

Early Childhood Education Teacher- Must have current Oklahoma elementary education teaching certificate.  Preference will be given to candidates with certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. 

 

Elementary Education Teacher- Must have current Oklahoma elementary education teaching certificate.  Preference will be given to candidates with certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

 

 

 

Coaching Positions:

 

Boys High School Basketball Coach--Must have current Oklahoma teaching certificate. Teaching assignment to be determined. Additional coaching duties may include assisting with other athletic programs. Must have Care and Prevention and have current CDL or be willing to obtain CDL. Preference given to applicants with previous high school basketball head coaching experience and current CDL. Teaching duties to be determined. Support Personnel/Non-Certified:

 

Receptionist/Enrollment Clerk-Duties are of a wide range, including greeting visitors and answering phones, but includes entering and maintaining data on district website as well as with the State Department of Education.  Student information is entered and maintained through an online student information system.  Knowledge of basic office procedures, word processing capabilities (Microsoft Office), polite and effective communication skills, and accurate filing skills required.  Some lifting and physical labor may be required.  See job description for more complete information.

 

Teacher’s Aide/Paraprofessional-Duties include assisting certified teacher in providing a positive learning environment, improving student general self-care and their physical, social, communication, and intellectual skills.
