Terri Wade
Third Grade Teacher
Terri Wade has been an educator for 27 years, including 16 years at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma and began her teaching career with Oklahoma City Public Schools and Tulsa Public Schools.
What she enjoys most about teaching is the connections she makes with her students and watching their achievements through the years. Mrs. Wade wants her students to know that she is always rooting for them, even after they leave her classroom. She hopes every student leaves feeling loved and knowing that they belong.
Mrs. Wade especially enjoys teaching vocabulary and reinforcing academic vocabulary to help students build their language and understanding across all areas of learning. She strives to create a classroom where students feel supported, encouraged, and connected.
Outside of school, Mrs. Wade enjoys spending time with her church family and attending cookouts. Sperry is home to her in every sense of the word. She graduated from Sperry and attended Sperry Schools from kindergarten through her senior year. She especially loves that many of the students she teaches today are the children or grandchildren of people she knew when she was a student at Sperry.
