Leah Szabo
Special Education Teacher
Leah Szabo has been an educator for 22 years, including the past 18 years at Sperry Public Schools. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University. Her educational experience includes Skiatook Public Schools, Allen Bowden School, and Union Public Schools.
What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing the happiness of her students. Mrs. Szabo strives to give her best so that each student can be the best they can be. She hopes her students leave her classroom with greater confidence in themselves and their abilities.
Mrs. Szabo believes strongly in teamwork and values the collaboration she has with her paraprofessionals. She works to create a caring and supportive environment where students feel encouraged, valued, and celebrated for who they are.
Outside of school, Mrs. Szabo enjoys caring for her dogs, visiting her grandson whenever she can, and watching television. She describes Sperry as a “loving home away from home.” A few fun facts about Mrs. Szabo: she LOVES naps, and red is her favorite color—so much so that she owns a lot of things in her favorite color!
