Tobin Brummett
Physical Education Teacher
Tobin Brummett is beginning his teaching career at Sperry Public Schools, where he teaches physical education to kindergarten, first, and second grade students. He earned a degree in General Studies from Northeastern State University. Mr. Brummett is also a Sperry graduate and played both baseball and basketball for the Pirates.
What he enjoys most about teaching is building relationships with his students. Mr. Brummett wants his students to understand how much sports and physical activity have impacted his own life and how they can positively impact their lives as well. He hopes students learn to enjoy competition, work to improve their skills, and understand the importance of listening to people who are helping them become better.
Mr. Brummett holds his students to a high standard while treating everyone fairly and equally. He strives to create an environment where students can have fun, challenge themselves, and learn the value of giving their best effort.
Outside of school, Mr. Brummett enjoys watching sports and spending time with his friends. He also enjoys all kinds of movies and television shows. His favorite thing about Sperry is the community's expectation that people work hard and always try their best. As a former Sperry student-athlete, he is excited to now be part of the school community as an educator.
