Sperry Public School is accepting applications for the following positions:

 

Certified Positions:

 

  1. Secondary Special Education Teacher-Must have current Oklahoma special education teaching certificate in Severe/Profound and/or Mild/Moderate and be highly qualified in at least one secondary core subject area. Coaching Positions:

Applicants interesting in coaching positions need to be currently certified in one or more content area noted above.  

 

 

 

Support Personnel/Non-Certified:

  1. Custodian-Duties include cleaning and maintaining facilities (classrooms, halls, offices, restrooms, gymnasium/locker rooms, etc.) using proper chemicals, equipment and techniques; securing buildings and locking facility doors and setting alarm system; and some lifting, carrying, and physical labor required.  Preference given to individuals with experience using industrial cleaning/maintenance equipment and materials.  Basic knowledge of effective and efficient housekeeping techniques, procedures, and equipment is required. 

  2. Bus driver-Prefer current C.D.L. class B with passenger and school bus endorsement, but district will train if necessary.  Contact Richard Akin, Operations Manager, at 918-288-7213.  Bus Driver-job description

  3.   4. Library Aid -Duties include sorting, shelving, and checking in/out books to students and other related duties as assigned by the librarian.  Some lifting and physical labor may be required.

  5. Paraprofessional -Duties include assisting the special education and classroom teacher with instruction and classroom management, as well as preparing activities, and monitoring students with special needs.  Duties also include carrying out specialized activities identified by the special education teacher and the IEP team for identified students.  Must have high school diploma or equivalent.  Preference given to those who have 48 earned college credit hours from an accredited college or university or successful passage of the Highly Qualified Test.
