Sperry Wrestlers Again Take Awards at State
Sperry Wrestling continues its long history of being represented in the State Tournaments. Six Sperry High School wrestlers traveled to the State tournament February 23 and 24. And, again, Sperry High School Wrestling Coach Robert Park once again shows Sperry has the talent and he has the skill to fine tune that talent as Sperry wrestlers once again take home awards in multiple weight classes.
Sophomore Cooper Park and senior A.J. McEntire were both State Runner Up in their weight classes.
Senior Tyler Thompson placed 3rd in his weight class.
Sophomore Bryce Carter and senior Bailey Clampitt each placed 4th in their weight classes.
Freshman Seth Jackson also qualified for the State Tournament.
"The other coaches and I are very pleased with the way our guys really went to work the last half the of season," Coach Park said. "It's great that our seniors finished with such great careers. We're proud of them all."
