Sperry Students Will Once Again Bake Winning Dishes in Sodexo Future Chef Competition
Sperry Elementary students will participate in the Sodexo Future Chef competition on March 8th at 2:30 PM in the Main Cafeteria of the Sperry campus. This is the fourth year for Sperry students to have the opportunity to create and bake dishes for awards and prizes. Five students from grades first through fifth grade will be selected based on their entry applications and recipes. Each of these five recipes has been reviewed by a team of chefs and were determined to have met the standards for the competition’s overall goal for providing healthy choices for comfort foods that school-age children will want to eat.
The five participants will work with a district employee to follow the recipe each student submitted as part of their entry application and a panel of three judges will sample each dish.
