Sperry Wrestling Teams Sweep Through Their Regular Season
Sperry Middle School and High School Wrestling Teams have Exemplary Year
On January 26, 2017, Sperry High School Wrestling team grappled their way to being the Class 3A, District 8 Champions. In fact, the team has a district undefeated dual record. They move now to the next level of duals as they keep their sights on the State duals February 24 and 25.
The Sperry Middle School Wrestling team worked their way through an undefeated district dual season as well. "We're all pretty pumped up right now!" Head Coach Robert Park said of the success of the two teams. "It has been a banner year. These kids worked hard and deserve every bit of the recognition and honors they are receiving."
Assistant coaches Michael Orcutt and John King agreed whole-heartedly. "I'm proud to be a part of their success, to share this with them," Mr. King said. "The time and effort put into this by each and every one of them shows in this record," Mr. Orcutt added.
